Important Tips to Ace AIC AO 2017 Exam

Hello and welcome to exampunditToday we are sharing important tips to score & ace Agriculture Insurance Company of India AO Exam 2017.

Exam Pattern

The Objective test will be of 200 marks for 2 hours, comprises of the following:
Subject Name
Total No. of Questions
Total Marks
English Language
Quantitative Aptitude
General Awareness

Descriptive Test: Descriptive English Test of 30 minutes duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language (Essay, Letter & Precis) will be in English and will be conducted through on line mode on the same session.

Descriptive papers to the extent of 15 times number of vacancies may be assessed.

Candidates who have scored a minimum total score in the objective examination and have qualified the descriptive test will be short listed for the interview to the extent of about 3 times the number of vacancies.

A candidate shall be required to qualify in the descriptive test, but the marks in the descriptive test will not be counted towards short listing for interviews or final selection.


Important Points to Remember:
1. Quantitative Aptitude is expected to be similar to NICL AO. Which means you do not have to panic and do the difficult ones similar to IBPS PO & SBI PO.
2. Data Interpretation, Series, Approximations will let you attempt properly.
3. Reasoning will include old pattern problems and moderate level problems similar to LIC HFL examination.
4. Input/Output(Old Pattern), Coding-Decoding(Old Pattern), Puzzles, Seating Arrangements, Direction Tests will help you score better in the examination.
5. If you have a good command over Cloze Test, Error Corrections, Sentence Rearrangements, it will be easy for you to score in English.
6. Secure good marks section wise at first then pick your weapon of mass scorer.

It is 30 marks section with 30 minutes’ duration. This section would comprise of essay writing, Comprehension and precis writing questions. Practice these types of questions. Get an idea of the format of these types of questions and the specified word limit.

These types of questions test your ability to communicate, organize and structure your ideas. So, try to improve your writing skills. Strengthen your vocabulary. Read a lot of newspapers, editorials, write ups on current issues and practice them. Get a rough idea of what is happening around you at the national/international level and hot topics. This will greatly help you as most of the essay questions will be based on these types of issues. Read different blogs and magazines pertaining to social issues. This will give you a better insight.
