IBPS Clerk VI Mains - What to Study? | How to Score Maximum?

What are the things you must focus on?

1. Reasoning: Expect the reasoning part to be somewhat like PO Prelims standard. The following chapters are very important for the upcoming IBPS Clerk VI mains exam

  • Puzzles - Floor Based
  • Puzzles - 3 Type Data
  • Puzzles - Birthday/Week Days based
  • Syllogisms
  • Seating Arrangements - Straight Line

2. Quantitative Aptitude: The Quantiative Aptitude test will test your ability to interpret the data logically as well as calculate. As discussed previous, Quantitative Aptitude tests both your numerical ability as well as logical ability. So, in the quantitative aptitude section you need to be very careful about the steps and the logics of the problems. When it comes to numerical ability, it is mainly about the calculation.

  • Cloze Test - Economical
  • Error Correction
  • Double Fillers
  • Sentence Fillers
  • Para Jumble - Good Level

4. Computer Knowledge: If you see the information handout, the Computer Knowledge have 40 questions having 20 marks. So that clearly indicates the level will be quite easy. Expect a lot of questions from basics to moderate of Computer Knowledge. The following chapters are important:

  • Abbreviations
  • Short Cuts of Various Functions

5. General Awareness: The most worried section for a large number of aspirants. But worrying does not change anything, does it? So you have to study smartly. Now the Current Affairs & Banking Awareness are crucial for IBPS Clerk VI Mains Exam.

The Current Affairs need to be studied from October 20 to December 21, 2016. However, Important Current Affairs such as major loan, major schemes from September - October are important.

How much one should attempt?

First thing is that the exam already have allotted time for individual tests. So you don't have to worry about managing time for each section. However, individual sections need to be managed in order to maximize your attempts. So how? How can you attempt maximum.

One should go after the problems she/he is comfortable with and then go for the ones which are difficult.

Since the recruitment process won't  have any interview, you should attempt maximum. Anything around 170-180 for states with lower vacancy and 160-170 for the states with comparatively higher vacancies will be a safe attempt.
