  80. 7th RAPID TRANSIT, but 6th CITY ;) Told you Cross Checked!
    India's first private Rapid Metro started operations in Gurgaon, Haryana, on Thursday morning, using a common ticketing system with Delhi Metro.

    The country's first fully privately-financed developed metro system has been launched in the public-private partnership mode. It was built at a cost of nearly Rs 1,100 crore and took 30 months to reach the present stage.

    In what is expected to change the landscape of Gurgaon, which borders Delhi, the rapid metro connects with Delhi Metro's Yellow Line from Sikanderpur station in Gurgaon.

    ReplyDelete
  81. sammy----> target sbiJuly 5, 2015 at 3:08 PM

    ok dada

    ReplyDelete
  82. Another:

    The fare structure of Rapid Metro is integrated with the more popular Delhi Metro, which links the capital - both with Gurgaon (Haryana) and Noida and Vaishali (Uttar Pradesh).

    ReplyDelete
  87. sammy----> target sbiJuly 5, 2015 at 3:14 PM

    no.. but becoz they are interconnected so one single ticketing sysytem has to be used.. like in train.. thr are north south east west.. and all are connected. so have same ticketing system.. but still the railway zones are different.. is it not possible that gurgaon metro and delhi have a similar situation .. so ticketing is same.. but delhi metro is govt. gurgaon is privately financed . and has a different name all together.. delhi metro.. and gurgaon rapidmetro rail.. and it is written that it connects to the yellow line with delhi mtro so they cn b interlinked for travellers benefit. i m just asking is it not possible hat it has railway like scenario?

    ReplyDelete
  88. sammy----> target sbiJuly 5, 2015 at 3:16 PM

    yes because. its kolkata metro that is being extended.. like in the case of delhi.. it was extended in so many phases but never ever a different name was given... but only in the case of gurgaon...

    ReplyDelete
  89. It was mainly created to "It is expected that about 30 per cent of existing road traffic will move to Rapid Metro, thereby reducing travel time and traffic jams for commuters on Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway" So, as Wiki suggest, will make it 7th Metro Railway, but not 7th City :)

    sir another doubt

    Rapid MetroRail Gurgaon (Raipiḍ Mēţrō Rēl Guḍ.agāṃv) is a metro system in the Indian city of Gurgaon, Haryana

    now the question is how many city have metro rail..
    gurgaon is a part of ncr.. so a different city.. and it has metro.. doesnt matter.. if it has dmrc or watever.. tht city has metro.. so it shud be included.. we r confusing the question.. it is not asking how many metro corporations are thr. it simply asks.. how many city have metro rail... so gurgaon too has metro.. like if jaipur metro is extended to jaisalmer.. so jaisalmer city will also have metro.. similarly...

    so i think answer shud be 7th city to have metro... correct me if i m still wrong???
